Sarah Hyams
I work in the combined/carnival arts, where visual art and performance come together. I am a trained teacher, specialising in teaching art and design. Experience has included mainly carnival art and dance workshops working with families, children, young people, adults and over 50s. I have also obtained funding to produce events in local theatres, bringing high quality carnival workshops to families and individuals as well as the opportunity for them to perform.
Out of my teaching time I am a jeweller, where I work from my home studio and exhibit my work in galleries. As a dancer I have specialised in Afro-Brazilian dance, have trained in Brazil and have choreographed and performed in the south east in carnivals and clubs.
