Penny Macbeth- Visual Artist
These sessions can be run very successfully at either KS1 or 2. The workshops give children an opportunity to work on a very large scale, which we have observed to be both liberating and challenging. By liaising fully with staff before sessions, we are able to agree visual source material which will support current topical work so that the resulting large scale images allow for exciting classroom or corridor exhibitions with a strong curricular link.
By using a series of well tested drawing games (grid drawings, mystery object drawings, fast & moving figure drawings, directional light source, still lives) I engage children with the fascination of the visual world in ways which take the fear out of the process and make it fun and fast moving .
The tutors are CRB checked and experienced in special needs and behaviourally challenged children.
