Katie Godden- Visual Artist
Katie Godden is a highly motivated, qualified secondary school Art and Design teacher, with three years full time teaching experience in a large secondary school in Bristol.
Since recently moving back home to Cornwall she has been involved in art workshops in local primary and secondary schools. Recent projects include, Seed for Life, two day African Art workshop in Egloskerry Primary school, where children made clay masks, large scale paper sculptures, print making and animal masks.
Katie has extensive skills in all Art and Design areas, especially sculpture. She has experience of teaching with a wide range of materials and methods; including stone carving, willow work, ceramics, found objects and textiles, as well as drawing, photography, painting, collage and printmaking. With endless enthusiasm for her subject she engages young people of all abilities in the Visual Arts.
Katie also has experience of outdoor teaching, having run workshops in the Forest of Dean, exploring the sculptures in the forest and their history and meanings.
Available now for facilitating workshops, enterprise weeks, arts days either to fit in with the curriculum or combining subject areas, and working with the wider community.
