The emphasis of my workshops is on experimentation and development of abstract and figurative mark-making as a visual language, working in drawing, painting, installation/ sculpture.
Workshops explore the use of both traditional and alternative media and techniques, including found material such as mud and leaves, and hands and feet, encouraged by quick and long sketches, working outdoors as well as in. Subjects covered include Landscape, Figure, Still Life, Senses, Sound, Text, Memory, Process. Work can also be used in How to Make an Exhibition.
I am an Artist Curator exhibiting for 18 years locally, nationally and internationally I have taught children and adults in schools and the community, at times accompanied by exhibition of my work, in Bristol and Cornwall. I have mentored students and practising artists, founded and run artists studios and artist led groups and have project managed and curated exhibitions.
