Mark Harandon – storyteller/character actor
Mark is a storyteller/character actor and live interpreter working with all age ranges from primary to adult. He works with schools and organisations to find ways into topics; teaches storytelling to support literacy and uses performance storytelling in all kinds of venues. When appropriate he creates interactive characters to tell stories.
With a background in teaching theatre, and as a storyteller for 30 years, his style is characterised by a large lively, sensitive delivery with strong characterisation, full of drama and humour.
He creates and delivers educational programmes and events for the National Trust and others and so his work embraces diverse subjects . As such he is used to devising work to order. Mark has also advised and trained teachers and national organisations in the use of stories as “hooks” in learning programmes.
