Craig Johnson (Squashbox Theatre)- Actor & Puppeteer
I am an experienced actor, musician and puppeteer, based in Penzance, Cornwall.
For the last 7 years I have been a member of Kneehigh Theatre, performing in major national and international tours such as Tristan & Yseult, Cymbeline, and The Bacchae, as well as small-scale village hall shows, including directing and acting in Journey To The Centre Of The Earth.
As a solo artist, I perform under the name Squashbox Theatre, with the aim of bringing quality performances involving puppetry, live music and comedy to schools. My new performance The Sea Show is a quirky mix of storytelling, puppet show, natural history programme and cabaret, suitable for children aged 5 -11.
I also offer practical workshops on puppetry, drama and storytelling, available for primary and secondary schools, early years, colleges and adult education. I have considerable experience working with young people as an artist and workshop leader, and have a humorous, relaxed and engaging style.
