Claire Patrick – Play It Again

Claire Patrick

After graduating from Middlesex University’s Drama and Theatre BA course at Ivy House, Claire worked as a performer and workshop leader on various educational theatre projects and tours including Watford Palace Theatre and Forward Culture Arts. Claire has a PGCE from Exeter University and taught drama in Cornish schools, where she directed many school productions including Hairspray, The Crucible and Summer in the Park.  Claire has also has extensive experience of directing professional theatre, exam pieces and festival entries – recent work has included the Cornish Phoenix with Nick Stimson, Going Viral for Play It Again plus the DuMaurier Festival (Fowey Community College), One Night of Shakespeare (Liskeard School) and Darke Visions at HfC (Looe Community School).  Claire loves to create site-specific theatre with young people and has had great success with transition projects – helping year 6 pupils smoothly move up to secondary by bonding through creating theatre in the summer holidays.  Claire also specialises in creating socially-driven theatre for secondary age pupils and works closely with Play It Again to develop scripts with and for young audiences.  Claire is happy to undertake most creative theatre and performance project work in secondary and primary schools across the county.
