Al Head – Aerial Circus
I have been working in community arts since the early 1980’s and am committed to the community arts ethos: inclusion, accessibility and equal opportunities.
I teach static trapeze at all levels and ground-based circus at beginner level. I also teach drama, clowning and physical theatre and am especially interested in utilising these in projects based around themes such as current events, disability, sexuality and racism.
I specialise in issue-based drama sessions: 1 hour, 2 hour, half-day, full-day, weekend or week. Workshops are on themed issues such as diversity, disability and homophobia. Suitable for schools, youth clubs, conferences, youth or adult groups.
I am based in West Devon and can travel easily in Cornwall, Devon and Plymouth and to other places with enough notice. I can rig aerial equipment anywhere there are weight-bearing beams and a ladder/tower to reach them i.e. sports halls, church halls, school halls, gyms etc. I am CRB-checked and insured through Equity up to 5m.
