Bournemouth and Poole Cultural Hub
Bournemouth and Poole's Cultural Hub is a consortium of cultural organisations and schools working together to create inspirational learning opportunities for young people.
Linking local education and cultural organisations, the Cultural Hub is developing high quality opportunities for children and young people, and is also benefiting teachers, families, artists and the wider community. The programme will also allow the idea of Extended Schools to be put into practice.
The programme gives participants the chance to test the boundaries of arts and cultural education, working with some of the country's leading artists and companies. It provides increased access to the cultural assets of the local area, engaging young people with the outstanding archives, museums and library collections.
Several larger scale projects, involving new ways of working are being planned for 2007. These include the acclaimed Lindenmeyer System performance, being planned in collaboration with colleagues in The Netherlands.
