Perran Voices is a friendly, informal singing group which meets every couple of weeks to learn and sing beautiful songs in harmony – for fun and relaxation. The songs are from the Cornish repetoire of pub and folk songs and are usually taught by ear with words provided. There’s no pressure to come to every session, or to perform. Hilary Coleman, who is leading the group for a year while the main leader Pip Wright, is away, is a singer and musician with top Cornish band Dalla, bard of the Gorsedh and music teacher/trainer with many years experience in schools and communities. She will include some vocal technique in the sessions, helping singers find their voice and build their confidence. The group is mixed in terms of men and women, ages, voices and singing experience – but they have always ended up making a lovely sound often with a few giggles and a cup of tea along the way!
Starting on Tuesday 11th September 1-3pm at Perranuthnoe Church Room.
Dates for the rest of this term are as follows: 25th September / 9th October / 23rd October / 6th November / 20th November / 4th December
New voices of any age or experience always most welcome. £4 per session. If you would like to try the group out, or are planning to come for the first time, please let Hilary Coleman know on firstname.lastname@example.org or 01209 313233
