We started in Wadebridge and Fowey last year, and are now moving rehearsals to Bodmin to combine the two groups. We’ve got about 60 active singers at present, and performed last year the Daphne Du Maurier Festival and the Rock Oyster Festival. We’re open to children from age 11 upwards, and all adults- please come and join us!

Vocal groups for young people aged 11-16 years at Hall for Cornwall every Wednesday during term time. It’s a great way to enjoy singing and make new friends. All are welcome – you don’t need any experience! The first session is on Wed 9 September.

An auditioned choir for boys who love singing and wish to develop their skills further. There are currently 2 rehearsal groups running. One at Truro School prep who meet twice monthly on Tuesdays 5.15pm – 6.15pm and the second at Constantine primary school who meet twice monthly on Thursdays 4.30- 5.30pm. Both groups meet once a month on Saturdays from 4- 6.15pm. The choir is run by Cornwall Music Service and directed by Angela Renshaw. Alison Churchley runs the Constantine satellite group.

A non- auditioned choir run by the Chorister Outreach programme – Sing Up. The choir meet every Saturday from 10.00 – 11.30am in Truro Cathedral. It is directed by Angela Renshaw and Nigel Hayward.
KV2 is Hall for Cornwall’s singing group for 15+ and adults. KV2 is open to all – no auditions, no need to read music, just an enthusiasm for singing. KV2 sings a non-classical repertoire from world music to pop. Vocal arrangements are composed especially for this group by singing leaders Kate Blackwell and Sophie Halling.

Cornwall Community Choir is a new project, starting in July 2009. The ultimate aim is to get people singing in a network of community based choirs throughout the county. These choirs are open to anyone from 18 -108 with four groups initially running in Central Penzance, Hayle, St Ives and Truro.
