With two venues Newlyn and The Exchange able to offer a wide and varied programme across two sites, showcasing the very best of national and international contemporary art, as well as work by some of the best artists currently working in the region.
KEAP works with Newlyn Art Gallery & The Exchange on teacher CPD and The Exchange has hosted The Story Republic in its Engine Room in 2013 and 2014
RIO is a pioneering social enterprise supporting people to build better futures. RIO is also Arts Council’s England’s Bridge Organisation for the south west region.
KEAP works with RIO to deliver Artsmark training and support and also shares offices with their team at Hall For Cornwall.
City of Lights is Truro’s magical mid winter lantern festival.
KEAP has been involved with City of Lights since its inception 18 years ago. Each year it gets bigger and better with 2017 seeing 23 schools and community groups participate with their own lanterns and over a hundred musicians.The event sees a dazzling procession of withy and tissue lanterns float through the streets, handmade and carried by professional artists, Cornish school children and local community and youth groups.
Helen Reynolds from KEAP manages the schools and community participation.
The 2018 City of Lights festival will be held on Wednesday 21 November.
KEAP works with the Tate St Ives Education and Learning Team to provide CPD for Cornish teachers.
Falmouth University is a vibrant and forward-thinking specialist arts college that is a key player in the national and international creative scene.
KEAP works with the The UK Recruitment & Outreach (UKR&O) team who develop and coordinate a wide variety of activities, events and programmes for the purpose of student recruitment and widening participation.
The mission of UKR&O is to raise the aspirations of people, young or older, whilst engaging them with the creative arts and Higher Education.
