Artsmark

Artsmark

This section of the KEAP website is dedicated to providing resources and opportunities for schools who have achieved Artsmark, and support for schools who are about to apply. We also want to celebrate the fantastic work going on in Artsmark schools so if you have a case study you want to share, please email it to jemima.taylor@keap.org.uk any images are welcome too.

This is a new section of the website and is under development. If there are things you would like to see here, please let us know.

Introduction to Artsmark Seminar- Thursday 2 July 4.30 - 6.00pm

2 July 2009, 4.30 - 6pm

Truro Town Hall, Boscawen St, Truro (accessed through Tourist Information Office at the back of Hall for Cornwall)

KEAP is offering a FREE seminar for those schools wishing to apply or re apply for Artsmark in the next round. If you received your award in Round 7 (2006-2007) you will need to re apply in Round 10.

The seminar will introduce Artsmark for those who are new to the award, and refresh the memories of those who are re applying! We will take a look at the forms, flag up any potential problem areas, and look at some examples of good practice.

If you wish to book a place on the seminar, please email Helen Reynolds on helen.reynolds@keap.org.uk or phone 01872 275187. Please bring along a copy of the application form available from www.artsmark.org.uk

Application information

The closing date for applications this round is 18 November 2009 and the application requires an audit of your arts activities so it is helpful to begin planning and know what is required now. The application packs for Round 10 will not be available until 1 September 2009, but Round 9 materials can be downloaded from www.artsmark.org.uk and they don’t tend to change much so can be used for planning purposes. Make sure you download the new application form when it is available though!

About Artsmark

Artsmark is a national award scheme managed by Arts Council England that recognises schools with a high level of provision in the arts. The award scheme is open to all schools in England - primary, secondary, special schools and pupil referral units, both maintained and independent.

By gaining an Artsmark, a school shows its commitment to the wider development of young people and teachers and to raising the profile of the arts in the school and local community. More information and resources can be found at www.artsmark.org.uk

Artsmark Support- One to One Sessions

From September 2009 up to the submission date, KEAP offers one to one sessions with a cost of £65 and we will go through the completed or semi completed form with you, highlighting possible problem areas and generally giving advice on your application.

If you want to book a one to one session contact Helen Reynolds on helen.reynolds@keap.org.uk or 01872 275187.
